What is Art Connect?

Art Connect provides insight into the art blogging scene. Our coverage includes reviews of art blogs, an art blog directory, and the extraordinary art blog interview series.

Art blog review categories
Our art blog reviews are categorised by the location of the art blogger, and the role of the art blogger.

Geographical coverage
The art blog directory includes art blogs from around the world. Our art blog reviews focus, at present, on art blogs written in the English language. Please see the following FAQs for more information on art blogs by country:

  • What about art blogs in the USA?
  • What about art blogs in the UK?
  • What about art blogs in Canada?
  • What about art blogs in Australia?
  • What about art blogs in Poland?

Art bloggers role
We have chosen to limit our categorisation of art bloggers role to five subjects. Many art bloggers do not fit neatly into any one of these categories, and therefore are included in two or more of the categories. Some collectively produced art blogs include art bloggers from across all five categories. To go directly to every art blog review categorised by bloggers role, please use the links below:

All artists blogs
All art collectors blogs
All art critics blogs
All art curators blogs
All art dealers blogs

Our subject tags
The categories provide a broad basis for finding art blog reviews of interest. To supplement categories, we also tag both art blog reviews and art blog entries. The tags we use are free-range, and aim to describe the focus of the art blog in six tags or less.

The extraordinary art blog series of interviews
Each interview in this series explores a different aspect of an extraordinary art blog. For example, our first interview explored how to make an impact on the art blogging scene, and develop an art blog quickly within the first year of its launch. We hope to explore the many aspects that come together to produce a successful art blog over the course of this series.
