Deanna Wood uses her art blog to chronicle her art career. Wood’s approach is to provide a candid insight into the high and low points of her career.
Entries to the art blog are succinct and incisive, and act to capture Wood’s thoughts and feelings. We think this works particularly well to stimulate some interesting discussions via the comments facility. For a good example of where this approach works well, take a look at the entry of November 11th, where Wood’s raises the question where she should be seek to have her work displayed, and that her own thoughts are conflicted.
For artists, Wood has written some great articles giving advice on anything from pricing your art, to dealing with rejection. We recommend first time visitors visit the Helpful Posts section, which lists the most significant of these type of entry.
Overall, we find this art blog to be an excellent place for artists to visit. There is a friendly atmosphere, vibrancy to the comments section, and some great resources for artists.
