About Christopher Saunders
Christopher Saunders is an abstract landscape artist living in Brooklyn, New York. He is a recipient of the prestigious Virginia Museum of Fine Art Fellowship award and his work is widely discussed in publications such as the NY Arts Magazine, Contemporary Magazine, and the Kansas City Star.
Saunders’ landscape work follows a strict process: starting from a rough collage, the paintings evolves by adding multiple surfaces. Inspiration comes from an ever-expanding collection of American landscape photographs, which Saunders works into abstract sceneries – oil on primed paper or linen being his favorite media.
