Brief Epigrams
Visit the Brief Epigrams art blog.
Brief Epigrams (More or Less), is very, very clever. At the time of writing, we had only just come across the blog. When we first visited, we found ourselves kind of ensnared (*1).
Lots of art blogs punch above their weight through the clever use of imagery, but few do it with as much flair as Brief Epigrams. MacDonald seemingly employs an editorial approach as straightforward as ‘I like this’, or ‘I have done this’. In most cases, the result of this approach is an interesting, but not a cohesive, journey. Despite the fact that MacDonald uses a variety of media (including some great videos), seemingly uses a scattergun editorial approach, and covers a range of subjects, his results somehow end-up being cohesive.
There is plenty more we could say here, but let us keep this simple: if you have not already done so, check out Brief Epigrams.
(*1) Try repeating the steps we took the first time around:
Read the title, and think about it
Take in the ‘sea’-scape, directly underneath
Watch the second, and then third video
Take a look at the images in this entry
Did you, too, feel like a stroll through those trees?
