John Massier is the visual arts curator for Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, based in Buffalo, New York.

Hallwalls’ concentrates on contemporary visual, media, performing and literary art.  The Center’s primary goal is to make art accessible to an international audience. It also seeks to encourage its artists to be creative without censorship.

Prolonged Hacking and Gnawing primarily focuses on profiling upcoming events at the gallery. The blog also details other art events in the area, and is sprinkled with some interesting, self-described, “filler material” – being anything else that Massier has taken an interest in.

We especially recommend Prolonged Hacking and Gnawing to those living in New York, or intending to visit Buffalo.

We like this article: 31st October 2008

Why we like it:
Massier gives some inspirational reasons to attend some of the upcoming events that he lists as well as providing details of what the events actually cover.
