Coverage on the Visual Bites art blog stretches across the whole of the art industry, but has a particular emphasis on contemporary art. Mainstream news events are often covered. The geographical focus is often London, but occasionally other locations are covered – mainly New York and Los Angeles.
Tanner is clearly enthused by the prospect of more people searching out and appreciating art. To see beyond the surface, and understand something of the history of the piece, the artists intentions, and the subject matter covered is something Tanner clearly loves doing. We find blog entries are particularly informative given the wide range of subjects Tanner covers.
The site includes a particularly well-stocked navigation list, which includes internal and external destinations. (For example, upcoming art events held in both London and internationally.) There is also an interesting video section.
We recommend this blog as an excellent place to get ‘news plus a view’.
